1. Aloo, Bhaloo and Chaloo can together earn $1,620 in 9 days. Aloo and Chaloo can earn $600 in 5 days where as Bhaloo and Chaloo in 7 days can earn $910. Find the daily earnings of Chaloo?





2. A can do a piece of work in 20 days and B in 30 days. A starts the work and worked for 6 days. Then B completed the remaining part of the work. In how many days was the work completed?





3. Prince can mow the lawn in 40 minutes and Juan can mow the lawn in 60 minutes. How long will it take for them to mow the lawn together?





4. A tank can be filled by pipe A in 3 hours and by pipe B in 5 hours. When the tank is full, it can be drained by pipe C in 4 hours. if the tank is initially empty and all three pipes are open, how many hours will it take to fill up the tank?





5. One pipe can fill a pool 1.25 times faster than a second pipe. When both pipes are opened, they fill the pool in five hours. How long would it take to fill the pool if only the slower pipe is used?

7. Two mechanics were working on your car. One can complete the given job in six hours, but the new guy takes eight hours. They worked together for the first two hours, but then the first guy left to help another mechanic on a different job. How long will it take the new guy to finish your car?    





8. It takes 6 hours for pump A, used alone, to fill a tank of water. Pump B used alone takes 8 hours to fill the same tank. We want to use three pumps: A, B and another pump C to fill the tank in 2 hours. What should be the rate of pump C? How long would it take pump C, used alone, to fill the tank?





9. A tank can be filled by pipe A in 5 hours and by pipe B in 8 hours, each pump working on its own. When the tank is full and a drainage hole is open, the water is drained in 20 hours. If initially the tank was empty and somenone started the two pumps together but left the drainage hole open, how long does it take for the tank to be filled?





10. A swimming pool can be filled by pipe A in 3 hours and by pipe B in 6 hours, each pump working on its own. At 9 am pump A is started. At what time will the swimming pool be filled if pump B is started at 10 am?





11. Machine A and Machine B are used to manufacture 660 sprockets. It takes machine A ten hours longer to produce 660 sprockets than machine B. Machine B produces 10% more sprockets per hour than machine A. How many sprockets per hour does machine A produce?





12. If 34 men completed 2/5th of a work in 8 days working 9 hours a day. How many more men should be engaged to finish the rest of the work in 6 days working 9 hours a day?





13. X can do ¼ of a work in 10 days, Y can do 40% of work in 40 days and Z can do 1/3 of work in 13 days. Who will complete the work first?

18. 12 men can complete a piece of work in 4 days, while 15 women can complete the same work in 4 days. 6 men start working on the job and after working for 2 days, all of them stopped working. How many women should be put on the job to complete the remaining work, if it is to be completed in 3 days.
