  • President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Governors of five states, namely Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Meghalaya along with the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar islands.

  • Indian Railways will be working with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to devise safety mechanisms to make travel by trains safer.
  • The International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) was observed globally on 28th September. UNESCO hosted a conference in Balaclava, Mauritius with the theme “Overcoming Divides and Achieving the SDGs in Africa”.
  • The International Translation Day was observed on 30th September. It was celebrated with an aim to pay tribute to the work of language professionals, which plays an important role in bringing nations together, facilitating dialogue, contributes to the development and strengthens world peace and security.
