Sobriquets, or nicknames are given to people, places, or any proper noun for that matter to identify it with what its most conspicious trait or attribute is. Did you know that Denmark is known as the Mother-in-law of Europe. Funny, isn’t it? Vasavi Kaparthi, again, a II semester student from NALSAR has compiled a list of such sobriquets. Have a look at them, don’t try to mug all of them up at once. Give it frequent readings, for eg., while taking a break from doing Math or Logic.
