  • Delhi is richest state and Jain wealthiest community in the country according to  wealth index released on basis of data from fourth round of National Family and Health Survey (NFHS-4). Bihar is poorest state half of its households in the bottom quintile.
  • Rizhao, a new missile frigate, in a naval port in Dalian has been commissioned by China’s People’s Liberation Army. It is China’s indigenous missile frigate named after Rizhao city in Shandong Province.
  • Yara International, a Norwegian fertilizer giant, has announced completion of its acquisition of Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 million tonnes per annum production capacity urea plant at Babra unit. It marks first foreign direct investment (FDI) in India’s highly regulated urea sector.
  • Kerala Government has introduced Kerala Accelerator Program, a virtual accelerator program for three months, to promote startups in the early revenue stage. It was launched by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with Zone Startups India.
